"Doost" means beloved friend in Persian. We treat your pets like our own best friends, sourcing only what we would give our own furry companions.

How are you different from big-box pet stores?

Most big-box retailers prioritize volume over value. We do the "sifting" for you. We partner with small, mission-driven brands that prioritize durability, non-toxic materials, and giving back to the community. When you buy from us, you aren't just getting "stuff”, you're getting a curated standard of health and aesthetics.

Is Doost Pets a subscription box service?

No, we are not a subscription service. We are a curated pet boutique. We believe you should have total control over what your pet receives and when. There are no monthly commitments, no surprise credit card charges, and no contracts. You simply buy the curated collection you love, whenever you (and your pet) want a treat.

If you aren't a subscription, how do you compare to them?

We prioritize quality over quantity and transparency over mystery. Unlike traditional subscriptions, we show you every single item in our boxes before you buy. We don't believe in "filler" items, surprise allergens, or low-quality “house brands”. You see exactly what you’re buying before you checkout. What is inside a Curated Box?

Our boxes are never a surprise. You can view all the items included in each collection before you purchase. Each box features 7-10 premium items, including healthy treats, durable toys, high-end accessories, and wellness goods. We ensure the retail value of the items always exceeds the price of the box. So, on top of the curation, you get a discount as well!

What if my pet has allergies?

Because we are 100% transparent about our box contents, you can review the ingredients of every treat and the materials of every toy before you buy. If a specific box doesn't fit your pet's needs, you can always shop our individual boutique items!

Can I swap an item in a Curated Box?

To keep our shipping carbon-neutral and our processes simple, we do not offer substitutions within our curated collections. However, many of the items in our boxes are also available for individual purchase so you can build your own perfect set!

Where do you source your products?

We are incredibly picky! We hand-select every item from mission-driven brands and small-batch makers who share our commitment to quality. We prioritize partners that focus on healthy ingredients, non-toxic materials, eco-friendliness, and giving back to the pet community (like GivePet and Project Hive Pet Company). By sourcing from trusted, high-standard partners rather than mass-market distributors, we ensure that every toy is durable and every treat is something we would feel good giving our own pets.

We also prioritize products that are Made in the USA and eco-friendly whenever possible.

Why can't I find you on Amazon?

We believe the best relationship is a direct one. Many large platforms prioritize algorithmic profit and "sponsored noise" over your pet’s well-being. By staying independent, we avoid heavy marketplace fees and maintain total autonomy over our standards. This allows us to invest directly in hand-vetted quality and your pet’s safety, ensuring our mission always comes before a platform’s rules or a marketplace's profit.

Where is Doost Pets located?

We are proudly based in Seattle, Washington! While we ship nationwide, you might occasionally find us at local markets. If you see our pop-up shop, come say hi!

Is your packaging really eco-friendly?

Yes! From the water-based inks to the recyclable cardboard and the carbon-neutral shipping labels, we strive to be the most sustainable choice for eco-conscious pet parents.

Why don’t you offer free shipping?

Because "Free Shipping" is a marketing myth. Large corporations often hide that $10–$15 cost by inflating product prices or cutting corners on material quality. At Doost Pets, we believe in transparency. We keep our item prices fair and use a subsidized flat-rate model. This ensures your money goes toward high-quality, safe products for your pet, not hidden logistics fees.

Why carbon-neutral shipping?

Traditional e-commerce has a massive carbon footprint. We use the Planet app to calculate the emissions of every delivery and pay to remove that exact amount of carbon from the atmosphere. It’s our way of ensuring the world stays beautiful for the pets we love.

Do you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, or Internationally?

At this time, we only ship within the mainland United States (48 states). Focusing on this area allows us to keep our flat-rate shipping reliable and our carbon-neutral promise achievable.
