Refund policy

We want every tail to wag and every purr to be loud. However, because our boxes are curated with high-quality, often perishable (treats) or high-hygiene (toys/accessories) items, we handle returns as follows:

Damaged or Defective Items

If an item arrives broken, defective, or "ruff" around the edges, we’ll do our best to fix it. Email us at orders@doostpets.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damaged item. We will ship a replacement or issue a refund for that specific item immediately.

Curated Boxes

Because we provide a full, transparent list of every item included in our curated boxes prior to purchase, we do not offer returns based on pet preference or change of mind. However, if for any reason you are not happy with the quality of the items you received, we accept returns of curated boxes within 14 days of delivery. Please note that we do not accept partial returns of the curated boxes. All items included in the box must be returned together, in their original packaging, and strictly free of pet hair or odors.

Individual Items

For non-box items (like specific toys, treats, or accessories), we accept returns of unused items in original packaging within 14 days of delivery. Items must be in their original packaging and strictly free of pet hair or odors.

To celebrate our grand opening and welcome you to the Doost family, we are currently offering 100% Risk-Free Returns on all orders. We want you to shop with total confidence as you discover our favorite pet goods!

  • Free Return Shipping: To make things easy, our team will provide you with a pre-paid shipping label via email.
  • Full Refunds: During this launch period, we will refund the full order total (excluding original shipping) for returned items.

Initiating a Return

To start a return, simply contact us at orders@doostpets.com with your order number. Our small Seattle team will review your request and provide you with a pre-paid shipping label within 1–2 business days.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected to ensure it meets our hygiene standards (unused, hair-free, and in original packaging), we will process your refund:

  • Refund Method: Your refund will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout.
  • Processing Time: Most banks take 5–10 business days to reflect the credit on your statement once we have processed the refund on our end.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you need a different size for an accessory, please return the original (if eligible) and place a new order.
